Role Summary

The Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts is responsible for supporting the Finance function in managing the financial operations of the mall through accurate reporting, financial planning, compliance, and timely closure of accounts. The role involves supporting financial decision-making, ensuring statutory and audit compliance, and managing day-to-day finance activities in coordination with the Finance Head.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely book closure in coordination with the Finance Head and manage day-to-day financial activities of the mall.
  • Prepare and submit MIS reports, income reports, budgets, estimates, and other financial reports to management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial information and reports as required.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Liaise with consultants for tax audits, GST audits, income tax returns, and responses to notices and orders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable direct and indirect tax requirements.
  • Support the Finance Head in addressing tax-related matters and regulatory requirements.

Audit Management

  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Provide timely responses and required information for audit queries.
  • Monitor audit action points and ensure appropriate resolution and closure.

Operational Finance

  • Support the Finance Head in operational finance activities and financial planning.
  • Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse financial information and provide relevant insights to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 firm in the Audit & Assurance practice (Indian practice) is mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, financial reporting, and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and business acumen with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
